SMS Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: September 14, 2026
Last Updated: September 14, 2026

These SMS Terms and Conditions govern text messages sent by or on behalf of Barchiesi Law PLLC (“Barchiesi Law,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By providing your mobile telephone number and consenting to receive text messages, you agree to these terms.

1. Types of Messages

Barchiesi Law may send conversational or informational text messages concerning an inquiry you submitted, a requested consultation, appointment scheduling or reminders, intake information, requests for documents or additional information, and other communications related to your contact with the firm.

Text messages are not intended to provide individualized legal advice or create an attorney-client relationship. Representation begins only after Barchiesi Law agrees to accept a matter and a written engagement agreement is completed.

2. Consent to Receive Messages

You may consent to receive text messages through an online form, during a telephone or in-person conversation, by initiating a text-message conversation with the firm, or through another method that clearly indicates your permission.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing legal services or obtaining a consultation. You may contact the firm by telephone or email if you prefer not to communicate by text message.

3. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies depending on your inquiry, requested consultation, and communications with the firm. Barchiesi Law does not guarantee that text messaging will be available at all times.

4. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier’s standard messaging and data charges are your responsibility.

5. Opting Out

You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP. After you opt out, you may receive one final message confirming your request. You will no longer receive text messages from the applicable messaging program unless you provide consent again.

6. Help

For assistance, reply HELP, call Barchiesi Law at (215) 543-6788, or email karina@barchiesilaw.com.

7. Privacy

Barchiesi Law handles personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy. Mobile opt-in information and text-message consent will not be sold or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes.

8. Mobile Carriers

Mobile carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to carrier availability, network conditions, device compatibility, and other factors outside Barchiesi Law’s control.

9. Security and Urgent Matters

Text messaging may not be completely secure. Do not send Social Security numbers, financial-account information, passwords, medical records, confidential documents, or other highly sensitive information by text unless the firm specifically directs you to use an appropriate secure method.

Do not use text messaging for urgent legal deadlines. A text message does not pause or extend any court, immigration, filing, appeal, reporting, removal, or other deadline. If a hearing, filing deadline, transfer, or removal is approaching, call the office promptly.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these SMS Terms and Conditions periodically. The revised terms will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Changes apply prospectively unless otherwise stated.
