Barchiesi Law PLLC (“Barchiesi Law,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect information submitted through [www.barchiesilaw.com] and any related webpages, forms, or online intake tools (collectively, the “Website”).
This Policy is intended for a Pennsylvania law-firm website. It is not a retainer agreement, does not create an attorney-client relationship, and does not constitute a promise that Barchiesi Law will accept any representation.
1. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the Website, we may collect:
◦ Contact and intake information: name, email address, telephone number, mailing address, preferred contact method, and information about how you found us;
◦ Matter information: information you voluntarily provide about a potential legal matter, including dates, locations, involved persons or entities, and a description of the facts;
◦ Documents and other content: files, photographs, messages, and other materials you choose to submit through an intake form or other online tool;
◦ Technical information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring website, pages viewed, access times, and other information automatically collected through the Website; and
◦ Information from communications: information contained in emails, telephone calls, or other communications with us.
Please do not submit Social Security numbers, financial-account or payment-card information, medical records, passwords, highly sensitive personal information, or confidential documents through a general Website form unless we specifically direct you to do so through an appropriate secure process.
2. How We Use Information
We may use information to:
a. respond to inquiries and requests;
b. conduct a preliminary conflict check and evaluate whether we can assist with a potential matter;
c. communicate with you about your inquiry or a matter;
d. provide, administer, secure, and improve the Website and our services;
e. investigate and prevent fraud, misuse, security incidents, and other unlawful activity;
f. comply with legal, ethical, professional, and court obligations; and
g establish, exercise, or defend legal claims and protect our rights, property, personnel, and clients.
Submitting information does not mean that we have agreed to represent you. Do not rely on the Website or an online submission to meet a filing, notice, limitation, or other legal deadline.
3. Intake Forms and Google Workspace
Some Website pages, including pages that may not be linked in the public navigation, may direct you to forms operated through Google Workspace or Google Forms. Information submitted through those forms may be transmitted to, stored in, and accessible through Barchiesi Law’s Google Workspace environment for review by the Firm and authorized service providers.
Google may process information in connection with providing Google Workspace and related services under the applicable Google Workspace terms, Google Cloud Privacy Notice, Google Privacy Policy, and any other agreement applicable to our account. Google may use affiliates and service providers, and may disclose information when legally required or otherwise permitted under its applicable terms. The terms applicable to our Firm’s enterprise account, our configuration, and our contract with Google control where they differ from general consumer-facing materials. Barchiesi Law—not Google—determines the purposes for which the Firm requests and uses information submitted through our intake forms. We will configure and use the forms and Google Workspace access controls in a manner reasonably designed to protect submitted information, but no internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
Before submitting information, review the form’s notice and any specific instructions displayed on that page. If a form requests information that you do not wish to submit online, contact us to ask about an alternative method.
4. Disclosure of Information
We may disclose information:
◦ to attorneys, employees, contractors, investigators, experts, and other professionals assisting Barchiesi Law, subject to appropriate confidentiality obligations;
◦ to technology, hosting, security, communications, document-management, and other service providers that process information for the Firm’s business purposes;
◦ to Google and other providers used to operate the Website and intake process, as described above;
◦ when authorized or requested by you;
◦ to comply with a subpoena, court order, legal or regulatory requirement, or professional obligation;
◦ to protect the rights, safety, property, or security of the Firm, our clients, Website users, or others; or
◦ in connection with a merger, sale, reorganization, financing, or other business transaction, subject to applicable confidentiality requirements.
We do not sell personal information submitted through the Website for monetary consideration.
5. Cookies, Analytics, and Similar Technologies
The Website may use cookies, server logs, analytics, security tools, pixels, or similar technologies to operate the Website, remember preferences, understand Website use, and protect against abuse. You may be able to control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect Website functionality.
6. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including intake administration, legal and ethical obligations, dispute resolution, security, and recordkeeping. Retention periods vary based on the nature of the information and whether it becomes part of a client or prospective-client file. When information is no longer needed, we may delete it, anonymize it, or securely dispose of it, subject to legal, professional, backup, and litigation-hold requirements.
7. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards that we believe are reasonably appropriate for the information and the purposes for which it is used. These measures may include HTTPS encryption in transit, account controls, access restrictions, and security practices offered by our service providers. No security measure eliminates all risk. If you believe information has been submitted to us in error or that a security issue has occurred, contact us promptly.
8. Pennsylvania Residents and Applicable Privacy Rights
Pennsylvania law may provide rights and protections concerning personal information, including protections relating to data security and breach notification. Pennsylvania’s proposed comprehensive consumer-data-privacy legislation should not be described as enacted law unless and until it becomes effective. We will handle requests and disclosures as required by laws applicable to the particular information and person.

We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will not discriminate against you for making a privacy request. This does not limit confidentiality, privilege, legal-ethics, client-file, public-record, or other rights and obligations that may apply to information in a legal matter.
9. Children
The Website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly request personal information from children under 13 through the Website. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact us so that we can evaluate and, where appropriate, delete it.
10. Third-Party Websites and Links
The Website may contain links to third-party websites, including government, court, legal-information, and Google, YouTube and Meta websites. We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy, security, content, or practices of third parties. Review the privacy policy of each third-party website before submitting information.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. The revised Policy will be posted on the Website with a new “Last Updated” date. Unless otherwise stated, changes apply to information collected after the revised Policy is posted.
